EVENT: SUNDAE SCENT STYLING SUITE
Situation:
Sundae Body has built a name for itself blending the world of food and beauty, and now, the brand has stepped into the world of fashion with its recent Scent Styling Suite. The intimate experience invited key opinion leaders to explore scent layering as an extension of getting dressed.
Hosted at Sunset Studio in Collingwood, guests were encouraged to spritz and layer the Body Mist collection to create their personalised Sundae Scent Stack™. Guided by Sundae representative, CJ, attendees discovered how the Body Mists could be ‘styled’ as effortlessly as an outfit, layering different fragrance notes to match their mood and aesthetic.
Leaning further into the crossover between beauty and fashion, the experience also featured a colour analysis session with an expert, helping guests to perfect every aspect of their wardrobe.
The space was styled with playful life-sized paper doll cutouts that could be stacked like the Body Mists and interactive scent styling stations, offering endless moments for organic content creation.
Strategy:
To drive awareness for the Sundae Scent Stack™ campaign, the core objective of the event was education. The event concept was strategically developed to clearly communicate the idea of fragrance layering in a way that felt interactive and easy to translate on social media. Key opinion leaders were guided on how to build their Sundae Scent Stack™ by a Sundae representative, and also how to layer these with other products from the range, including their signature Whipped Shower Foams and Body Whips. These moments were then amplified through social content, providing online audiences with a stronger understanding of how Sundae’s bodycare range works together. Guests left with a scent combination that matched their gift bag, making the experience feel personalised, ensuring that Sundae could build relationships with a new set of key opinion leaders.
The space was styled to immerse guests in the campaign creative, with the life sized paper doll cutouts serving as a central feature of the event. Beyond reinforcing the Sundae Scent Stack concept, they also created a content moment for key opinion leaders, encouraging them to be captured by our photographer.
The event was hosted in sessions to maintain a more intimate experience while still allowing the brand to engage with a large number of key opinion leaders throughout the day. This format created more opportunities for product education and content creation.
The guest list was highly curated, with a focus on introducing new creators to the brand who were known for their educational beauty content. This ensured that the social coverage introduced Sundae Body to a fresh set of audiences in a credible way.
