ACTIVATION: BALI BODY MILK BAR TAKES OVER MANLY

Activation:

To launch the newest Face Tan Milk, Movement Agency worked closely with Bali Body to bring the viral Milky Skincare trend to life with a one day takeover of Rollers Bakehouse in Manly.

For one day only, the space transformed into the Bali Body Milk Bar, giving consumers a reason to start their morning with the brand. The concept was designed to take something people already love doing and layer the product into it organically. 

The first 200 guests received a Glazed Cinnamon Scroll, Cinnamon Scroll Cold Brew and a full-size Face Tan Milk. It created a clear moment for trial while driving immediate foot traffic and allowed the brand to drive awareness, encourage product trial and connect with its audience in a culturally aligned way.

Strategy: 

By tapping into both Bali Body and Rollers’ audiences, the activation introduced the Face Tan Milk into the skincare and lifestyle category through an experience that was relevant, social and easy to engage with. 

The idea was to make the Milky Skincare trend tangible, by placing an experience-led activation inside a familiar, high foot traffic venue. Bali Body was able to show up where consumers already are, with the opportunity to engage with new and existing customers. Guests were encouraged to experience Bali Body’s signature glow. Product trial was seamlessly integrated into the experience and supported by strong branded moments.

Partnering with cult favourite Rollers Bakehouse gave the activation instant local credibility and access to an already engaged audience, turning a standard coffee run into a brand interaction. The limited giveaway drove urgency, with queues forming before opening, helping amplify awareness of the new product and engage Australian consumers, media and KOLs.

Results:

The Bali Body Milk Bar drove strong on-ground engagement with all 200 products sold out within the first 90 minutes, and sustained high foot traffic throughout the morning.

The activation achieved national coverage secured across titles including Sitchu, Urban List and Eat Drink Play, while consumers organically shared content across social platforms, positioning Face Tan Milk within the Milky Skincare conversation.

The activation successfully launched the product into market in a way that was culturally relevant, driving both awareness and trial from day one.
