EVENT: POTATO UTOPIA’S GRATIN EXPANSION
Event:
Transforming the humble potato into something worth talking about, Potato Utopia hosted an intimate celebration to launch its Potato Gratin flavour expansion, introducing Mozzarella & Hot Honey and Parmesan & Black Pepper to the range.
Held at Darlinghurst favourite, Love, Tilly Devine, the evening brought together Sydney’s lifestyle, food and social set for a bespoke menu curated by Head Chef Tom, with the new gratins woven throughout each elevated canapé. Highlights included caviar with crème fraîche alongside Potato Utopia’s Parmesan & Black Pepper gratin, served on arrival as drinks flowed and live music by Seani set the tone.
The space was styled with sculptural potato centrepieces, custom Potato Utopia wine bottles, branded playing cards and matchboxes, paired with vintage silverware and candelabras. With great wine, good company and plenty of potatoes on offer, the evening proved that side dishes can hold their own as the main event.
Strategy:
Movement Agency created a distinct creative point of difference for Potato Utopia, building both visibility and immersing the brand into cultural conversations. The evening was curated end to end, with every detail considered across branded touchpoints, sculptural installations, guest list and catering. The focus was to elevate Potato Utopia’s brand identity while driving authentic content and social posting.
To extend the experience beyond the event, guests were gifted custom branded gift bags and tea towels, alongside the frozen Potato Utopia gratins. This gave attendees the opportunity to recreate the experience at home and trial the product in a considered way, reinforcing quality and taste, while keeping the brand front of mind post event.
The guest list featured a considered mix of Australia’s leading food and lifestyle KOLs, including Danh Doan, Jessie Carr, Sophie Fisher (coconutandbliss), Cindy Xie, Lauren Dunn and Louie Collins. This ensured alignment with Potato Utopia’s target audience, delivering both reach and relevance across key verticals.
To further amplify reach, Movement Agency engaged and managed paid KOLs and developed clear talent briefs that highlighted key messaging and product USPs. This ensured consistency across content while still allowing each creator’s voice to come through. The result positioned the event as a culturally relevant moment across Instagram and TikTok.
