Event: Lime Hosts Sydney Demonstration Day To Celebrate Major Sydney Upgrades

Situation:

In November, Lime, celebrated 1 billion rides globally with major upgrades for Sydney-siders. With an array of new offerings, Lime unveiled the next evolution of its investment in sustainable and accessible transport for Sydney with a demonstration day. Lime, one of the world’s leading shared electric vehicle companies, launched the next generation of LimeBike, discounted pricing via their new subscription model LimePrime and a new helmet with lock upgrades. 

Sydney is the first city in the Southern Hemisphere to roll out the upgrade model, joining global cities such as Paris, Seattle and Zurich in leading the shift toward sustainable transport. 

Strategy:

Together with Lime, Movement launched a demonstration day in Darlinghurst, where media, KOLS and Lime fans were introduced to the new bike and heard from the Lime APAC during an interactive panel. The panel included William Peters, Head of Lime APAC, Annabel Ellis Comms and Brand Manager APAC and Lara Nickless Senior Operations Manager ANZ. 

After the panel, guests were invited to step outside with General Manager Tom Hollestelle to have a turn on the new bicycles. The location selected allowed for guests to safely trial the new bikes and helmets with many guests departing from the event on a LimeBike.
