EVENT: SKIN CONTROL LAUNCHES FLOWER POWER PIMPLE PATCHES
Event: To celebrate the launch of Skin Control’s latest innovation: Flower Power Pimple Patches. To celebrate the launch of these flower-shaped pimple patches, with rhinestone centres, it was only fitting to take over Sydney's coolest florist: September Studios.
To maximise the space take-over Skin Control and Movement Agency hosted 3 workshop sessions throughout the day and evening to ensure we could host as many friends of the brand as possible. Taking inspiration from the Flower Power pimple patches, the September Studios founder and owner Bryce Heyworth taught guests how to create a perfect flower arrangement whilst Skin Control co-founder Michael spoke about the inspiration for these fashion-forward and fun pimple patches.
The Skin Care trend led by Michael and followed by the likes of Hailey Bieber. The guests could not help but arrive and stick on the pimple patches, with Sydney socialites proudly wearing the latest accessory proudly on their faces as they took part in the florist class.
From AM to PM the drinks were flowing and flowering, with edible flowers in the matchas for the day sessions and flowers frozen into ice-cubes for the evening cocktails. The menu was a selection of finger food crowd pleasers including figs with prosciutto, sweet ricotta toast and crisps topped with cream cheese and salmon roe. Each guest left with their own large and bright arrangement of florals and a selection of Skin Control products, including the new Flower Power patches.
Strategy: Movement Agency produced this event to create a natural link between the NPD and a fun and engaging activity that offers the guests something other than a sit-down lunch or cocktail event. The event was curated with a strong focus on the product, whilst also tapping into the virality of the September Studios social presence. With a following of 1.8 million September Studios knows how to create cool arrangements!
To amplify and increase ROI, Movement Agency ensured a strong mix of beauty and skincare KOLs, ensuring alignment with Skin Control’s audience and maximising reach and engagement whilst also leveraging this moment as a time to see friends of the brand again. The guest list featured a strong attendance including Phoebe Spiller, Dominique Elissa, Barbara Coombes, Deborah Symond O'Neil, Bernadette Sukkar, Michael Lo Sordo and Elle Ferguson who all shared to their socials creating a strong reach.
